Free Program Code

Ed Impact Lab Public Code Repository

We have started to compile examples of code or code fragments that we can share that might be useful resources. These are offered as free to use and modify, with attribution to the Mathematica Educator Impact Laboratory. These program fragments in the public repository may be adapted from actual programs used to calculate teacher or principal impacts for partners of Mathematica Policy Research, but every program we use for such partners is highly customized and adapted to local circumstances.

Important disclaimer: Mathematica Policy Research does not recommend use of this sample code for high-stakes employee evaluation without substantial customization. The code shared here is mainly intended for research. It does not constitute code written specifically for any Mathematica client or contract. Mathematica recommends caution when interpreting results from any statistical model and does not provide a guarantee of the accuracy or validity of value-added estimates produced with the sample code.

Value-Added and Related Program Code Available to Download from Academic Journals

Academic journals are a rich resource of program code. Many journals require researchers to publish the code and the data they use in the published work to facilitate research replication. Here are a few we found. Feel free to send suggestions for others to include here.
